Why sugarcane bagasse
Bagasse is the dry fibrous pulp that remains after sugarcane stalks are crushed for juice. Instead of being burned as waste, it is molded into rigid tableware. The result is a container that is grease and water resistant, microwave and freezer safe, and made from a rapidly renewable byproduct rather than plastic or foam.
