Are bagasse plates and containers compostable?
Yes. Bagasse is moulded from sugarcane fibre and is commercially compostable, a plastic-free alternative to foam and plastic. Compostability documentation such as ASTM D6400 or BPI and EN 13432 is provided per market.
Do you make compostable takeout containers and clamshells?
Yes. Our bagasse range includes clamshell takeaway boxes from 6x6 to 9x9 inch, meal trays with lids in 3 to 8 compartments, and bowls up to 750 ml with lids, ideal as compostable takeout and food containers for restaurants and cloud kitchens.
Are bagasse products microwave and freezer safe?
Yes. Bagasse tableware is grease and cut resistant and safe in the microwave and freezer, and it holds hot, oily and wet food without going soft.
What sizes of bagasse plates do you supply?
We supply round plates from 6 to 12 inch, square plates, and 3 and 4 compartment plates and meal trays, in packs from 25 to 150 pieces.
